About the foundation
The Lakeway Police Foundation, “Foundation”, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, raises funds for the purpose of supporting the Lakeway Police Department. It is strictly a volunteer-driven organization. Board Members are not paid employees, so there is no office overhead and the administrative costs are minimal. This means that the vast majority of donations are used for the Foundation’s charitable purposes.
Through its annual gala and other fund-raising events, donations are accepted from any outside source interested in supporting the Foundation towards the advancement
of its mission:
• to support the Department with grants, memorials, scholarships, educational programs, and other public safety programs or needs of the department and sometimes statewide law enforcement relief efforts.
• to give back to the individual men and women of the Police Department, including employees, officers and immediate family members. Funds are raised to provide assistance in the case of emergency or misfortune.
The Lakeway Police Foundation was created to accept donations from any outside source interested in supporting employees and their families of the Lakeway Police Department in the case of emergency or misfortune.
Funds raised are also used for memorials, scholarships or other educational programs and in support of public safety programs and other needs of the Lakeway Police Department.
